The 55SI brushless style alternator is designed for vehicles with significant electrical loads - providing high output performance at engine idle.  Typical 24 volt applications include wheel loaders, graders, and mining equipment.   12 volt applications inlcude utility/work trucks, fire trucks, and highway trucks equipped with auxiliary power units.
