OCP – Built-In Protection Optional Overcrank Protection (OCP) protects the starter in adverse starting conditions, such as cold weather cranking, low battery capacity, high-starting circuit resistance, or operator misuse. A temperature sensitive circuit breaker prevents heat damage and automatically resets after the motor cools to a safe temperature.

OCP is an optional feature on New and Reman 39MT, 41MT, and 42MT.
