Joining the Delco Remy team was an easy choice for Tim Hale, who brings over 30 years of expertise in the commercial vehicle industry.
“The Delco Remy brand commands a lot of respect,” he says. “Customers trust it. They know this brand means quality and will last a long time.”
The opportunity to contribute to the brand’s legacy—and help shape its future—was a huge draw for him. So, in late 2025, Tim stepped into his role as Regional Sales and Service Manager for the Midwest region, ready to build on the brand’s storied reputation. Tim provides support to dealers, fleets and independent distributors in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri.
Tim’s broad industry experience helps him relate quickly to customers. Since joining the commercial vehicle market in 1993, Tim has held positions in operations, customer support, product management, field sales, and OEM and national account sales. In these roles, he’s worked with truck dealers, OEMs, fleets and independent distributors. This vast experience enables him to connect with almost everyone he meets in the industry and approach situations from different perspectives.
Quality and Durability That Customers Rely On
“It’s been great getting in front of the customer and serving as a solution provider,” he says.
With many fleets facing price pressures on parts and fuel costs, he’s a welcome partner as he offers durable, long-lasting products with some fuel-efficiency advantages.
“Customers trust that they won’t have to replace their starter or alternator in six months to a year,” explains Tim.
Additionally, Tim likes being able to offer Delco Remy’s reman products—especially since, unlike ‘value’ or offshore alternatives, we use OE components and meet OE specs, providing customers with more reliable performance.
“Our Delco Remy reman starters and alternators combine OE performance and quality with affordability,” he says.
A Legacy of Excellence, A Future of Innovation
Another significant draw for Tim was the sales team.
“The Delco Remy sales team is great. Everyone is seasoned and talented,” he says. “It feels good to be surrounded by a team that is just that knowledgeable. I think it’s the team’s incredible level of experience that sets us apart from the competition.”
Beyond team dynamics, being part of the Delco Remy team has bonded Tim to something greater than himself.
“Being part of the Delco Remy team feels like being connected to something with a real legacy behind it. People trust the name, and that sets a higher standard for everything we do. For me, it’s motivating to work with a team that genuinely cares about their customers and getting things right, whether that’s the product itself or how we show up for the customers. There’s a strong sense of responsibility.”
Best of all, it’s rewarding for him to be part of a brand that is charging ahead to continue shaping the industry today and in the future.
This year, we proudly celebrate 130 years since brothers Perry and Frank Remy began revolutionizing engine electrical systems. Their innovative spirit laid the foundation for the Delco Remy brand—a legacy that continues to inspire and empower our team, including new members like Tim.

“The Delco Remy name means quality. It’s a time-tested brand—it’s been put through the paces and stood the test of time. When I walk into a customer’s shop or fleet garage with the Delco Remy logo on my shirt, it’s always a positive interaction because they know what we sell is good—and an investment in their performance. Being part of this team motivates me to continue delivering on that reputation, supporting our customers and driving our legacy forward into the future.”
From Skydives to Fine Wines: Life Beyond the Job
- Tim used to jump out of planes during his years in the U.S. Army. “The first time I jumped, I wasn’t scared—you just don’t know. It’s the second time that scares you,” he laughs.
- Tim and his wife, Sherri, have two grown sons and are enjoying this stage as empty nesters. They are foodies (and wine aficionados) who love to travel.
- The Hale’s son got married in Rome, Italy—an unforgettable experience that included a “Pasta with Nonna” outing.
